Position Description:
The Task Force invites an Appropriations Division Director to lead our fiscal endeavors from Washington, D.C. This pivotal role entails the stewardship of fundraising campaigns and the prudent management of assets, ensuring our nonpartisan initiatives and political endeavors are well-funded and financially robust. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Division Director will be instrumental in fortifying our organization’s financial foundation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and execute innovative fundraising strategies to underpin our political advocacy and pro-democracy campaigns.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with a network of donors, stakeholders, and potential financiers to secure essential backing.
- Administer the tracking and oversight of financial assets, adhering to all pertinent legal and fiscal regulations.
- Partner with senior leadership to formulate and oversee the organizational budget and fiscal projections.
- Conduct thorough assessments of fundraising activities and financial efficacy, delivering analytical reports to the management team.
- Scout and seize new fundraising avenues, including grants, collaborative partnerships, and sponsorship endeavors.
- Guide and foster a team of fundraising experts, encouraging them to meet and surpass departmental objectives.
Requirements:
- Preferably pursuing a degree in finance, business administration, political science, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable and quantifiable experience in fundraising or financial oversight, preferably within the political or nonprofit sphere.
- In-depth knowledge of the nuances of political fundraising, including adherence to regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Interpersonal and communicative skill set, essential for forging enduring relationships with a diverse donor base.
- Acute analytical acumen and a penchant for detail, enabling the resolution of complex financial issues.
- Exceptional leadership qualities, with a proven ability to rally and drive a team towards shared success.

- The Appropriations Division Director reports to the Chief of Staff of The Task Force.
- This position is based in Washington, D.C., with remote accommodations available.
