Position Description:
The Task Force is seeking a Deputy Ambassador to play a pivotal role in our Alliance System Division. This position involves the strategic development and maintenance of domestic coalitions and alliances (particularly in the National Capital Region). We are looking for an individual with exceptional diplomatic and negotiation skills, along with a deep understanding of political dynamics, to propel our organization’s objectives and influence our stance with allied pro-democracy organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and sustain relationships with like-minded pro-democracy nonprofits working on an institutional-reform level.
- Seek and capitalize on opportunities to form coalitions and alliances that resonate with our mission and objectives.
- Strategize and execute advocacy efforts within these alliances, championing our organization’s stance and vision.
- Lead the coordination of coalition and alliance activities, fostering unity and commitment among diverse member organizations.
- Analyze political trends and issues, providing insights that inform our organization’s strategy and positioning.
- Represent The Task Force in forums, articulating our perspectives and navigating potential conflicts.
- Collaborate closely with Task Force Divisions to ensure cohesive execution of coalition and alliance-related initiatives.
Requirements:
- Preferably pursuing a degree in Political Science, International Relations, or a similar field.
- A proven history of effectively building and managing coalitions and alliances.
- Comprehensive understanding of political systems and processes at both national and international levels.
- Outstanding diplomatic, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse array of stakeholders.
- Sharp analytical and research skills, with an emphasis on identifying political opportunities and challenges.
- Capacity to juggle multiple tasks, adhere to deadlines, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
