Position Description:

The Task Force, a key player in the political advocacy landscape, is seeking a highly organized and driven Mission and District Coordinator to spearhead our chapter and regional expansion initiatives. Based in Washington, D.C., and reporting to the Operations Director, this role is integral to our growth strategy and influence within the political sector. We are looking for a candidate with a solid background in political organizing and exceptional project management skills to effectively develop expansion plans, make inroads with communities to build regional teams, and ensure alignment with our organizational mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Devise and implement strategic plans for new chapter expansion, aligning closely with The Task Force’s objectives.
  • Lead recruitment and training efforts for local leaders and volunteers in collaboration with regional leadership.
  • Foster and manage relationships with chapter leaders and volunteers, ensuring consistency and adherence to our mission.
  • Regularly evaluate chapter performance, identifying improvement areas and executing appropriate modifications.
  • Partner with regional leaders to craft and implement outreach strategies, enhancing chapter engagement and growth.
  • Encourage inter-chapter communication and knowledge exchange, promoting a collaborative atmosphere and sharing of best practices.
  • Remain aware of political trends and developments in assigned districts, leveraging this knowledge to inform strategic decisions and maximize impact.

Requirements:

  • Preferably pursuing a degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field.
  • A recommended 2 years of experience in political organizing or community development.
  • Robust project management skills, capable of balancing and advancing multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a talent for building relationships with diverse groups.
  • A proven history of successful expansion within a political organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of grassroots organizing and campaign strategies.
  • A self-motivated approach, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in navigating changing political scenarios and organizational needs.

  • This role reports to the Operations Director of The Task Force.
  • This position is based in Washington, D.C., with remote accommodations available.
