Position Description:

The Task Force is on the lookout for an Operations Division Director to orchestrate the core administrative mechanisms of our organization. Your leadership will be paramount in managing recruitment, expansion, human resources, and legal operations, ensuring alignment with our mission to protect democracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and enforce operational policies that align with our goals of democratic integrity and organizational excellence.
  • Lead our recruitment drive, championing diversity and inclusivity to assemble a team of varied backgrounds.
  • Spearhead organizational expansion, scrutinizing and pursuing growth opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead any legal counsel to uphold the highest standards of compliance and ethics within all operational facets.
  • Handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Manage our staff’s performance and development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence.

Requirements:

  • Preferably pursuing a degree in business administration, political science, or a related field.
  • Experience in operations within a politically engaged or nonprofit environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of organizational best practices for hiring/leading staffers and volunteers.
  • Exemplary leadership qualities, capable of guiding and inspiring a multifaceted team.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, paired with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Advanced communication abilities to effectively liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proven capability to thrive in a dynamic, high-stakes atmosphere, balancing an array of concurrent priorities.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking, with a focus on problem-solving and organizational development.

Additional Information:

  • This position reports directly to the Chief of Staff.
  • This position is based in Washington, D.C., with remote accommodations available.
  • Priority will be given to American University students, reflecting our commitment to harnessing local talent and insights.
