Position Description:

The Task Force, located in Washington, D.C., is on a mission to enhance our organizational strength through diversity and inclusion. We are in search of a Staff Diversity and Equality Coordinator, a role that is critical to fostering a workplace that mirrors the rich diversity of the communities we aim to serve. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will spearhead efforts designed to attract a broad spectrum of candidates, reinforcing our commitment to an inclusive recruitment strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement effective strategies to recruit candidates from a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
  • Define diversity objectives for the organization and for recruitment (includes tailoring job descriptions to reflect inclusivity).
  • Ensuring the Task Force brings together staffers from different experiences to provide a cross-section of America to the organization.
  • Screen applicants, arrange interviews, ensuring a diverse slate of candidates is considered at each stage of the hiring process.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with external diversity-focused pro-democracy organizations.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in recruitment is preferred but not required, with a dedicated focus on diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Intuitive understanding of diverse recruitment practices and sourcing techniques.
  • Outstanding communication abilities, fostering clear and open interactions both within and outside the organization.

Additional Information:

  • This role reports to the Operations Director of The Task Force.
  • This position is based in Washington, D.C., with remote accommodations available.
